Animal Based Smoothie Recipe

This is not your typical plant-based smoothie…

A plant-based smoothie can be very high in oxalates, phytic acid, & digestive enzyme inhibitors. And it’s often lacking bioavailable protein & fat soluble vitamins.

Thanks to grass-fed A2 kefir, grass-fed beef protein, colostrum, & fruit, this smoothie is a powerhouse of healthy fats, protein, carbs, vitamins, & minerals.

Recipe

  • 6 oz grass-fed A2 kefir or yogurt

  • 2 oz coconut water

  • 3 oz frozen blueberries

  • 1/2 banana

  • 1 scoop Prime Protein (unflavored)

  • 1 scoop Core Colostrum

Feel free to double or triple the recipe!

Never heard of colostrum? It’s the first food that mammals give to their young. Check out these benefits of colostrum:

  • It contains growth & signaling factors (Alpha & Beta) that help to repair intestinal damage & connective tissues.

  • Helps reduce inflammation

  • Promotes good gut flora

  • Supports restoring leaky gut to normal permeability

  • Lactoferrin is one of the main proteins in colostrum, which has been shown to prevent the colonization of Haemophilus influenzae, a common cause of ear & respiratory infections.

  • Colostrum contains Proline Rich Peptides, a mixture of peptides that provide support to the thymus gland (which is key for immune defenses).

🥩 Prime protein is made from grass-fed beef, so it is rich in collagen and contains the BCAAs that are found in muscle meat. Collagen makes up a whopping 1/3 of the protein in your body. It is a key component of your muscles, ligaments, tendons, bones, gut, skin, hair, & nails. Prime Protein is easy to digest and does not cause bloating or contain weird additives or artificial sweeteners like many other protein powders.
